Manistee River Tournament 4th Place Kim Benbow
Kim joined Metro West in January and is on his first Club event!
Kim said “It was a real pleasure getting to know you and the other members and fishing some new water. You really have a fine group of anglers. I felt very welcome and included by the contingent. Kip and I had no luck on the Bear but it was a beautiful day nonetheless.”
We left promising each other to come back together soon to get the ones that got away on sunday! … The chrome came out of the North side of Tippy just below the weir. I had a clown egg with a stonefly dropper (Lance’s recipe) and the buck took the egg and ran with it. I was surprised how many times he ran given the water temperature. I was using a 10’ 7 weight fly rod and 8lb tippet under an indicator (bobber).
